Hi Everyone, Hanna here. Yes, I'm still alive. It has been so long since I've shared finds, mostly because I haven't had any! Vintage pretties have been put on hold to make room and prepare for Miss Norah, who should be arriving in about 8 weeks. Time flies when you're prego.
No joke, the last vintage item that came into this house was the single vintage gift Erica gave me at Christmas. We agreed, that Christmas would be focused on baby stuff, but Erica decided I was deserving of one vintage prize.
She completed my Pyrex Flameglo set for me! She bought me the 403 a long time ago and it has always been one of my favorites. I mentioned to her that I wanted to whole set to use for every day. I found the 402 a few months ago and she went ahead and completed the rest. I seriously use it all the time and it has moved up on my list of favorite patterns.
I also guess I should mention that Erica inspired me with her no sew pillow cases the other day, so I finally got around to replacing the curtains in our kitchen. Matt has always hated the roman shades we had because even when opened they blocked the view of the river we have. They are now replaced. I still can't see the river because I'm so short, but he seems happy with them. Here's a shot of the non-river window. The empty banana basket is very sad, stupid GD!
Matt and I took Miss Piper dog for a mini babymoon getaway last weekend to Bend. It was so nice to get out of the house and enjoy the scenery. I originally had big eating plans for myself, but with the diagnosis of gestational diabetes a few weeks ago, I had to put that on hold. We still had some great meals, lots of hiking and sight seeing, and just enjoyed a little quiet time, which we both know we wont have very soon.
We stayed really close to this awesome trail system along the Deschutes River.
Our attempt for a family shot. Piper was not the most cooperative.
We also lucked out and were the only people at the Lava Cast Forest. Weather was phenomenal, Piper could run free, and we had a great view of the mountains.
I'm hoping to get back in thrifting shape sooner than later. I've already recruited a few friends that know they will be coming with me to estate sales once they arrive in my neck of the woods. Babies can go to estate sales, right? Until then, I will just continue to enjoy all of your finds and get my fix when I'm at Erica's in a few weeks!
Always a Pleasure,
Hanna
Hi Hanna!
ReplyDeleteFirst, why don't you look pregnant??? You're one of those lucky girls that just gets a cute little bump! But, I am sorry to hear about your diabetes. Luckily it's just temporary! I can't wait to see Norah! You're so lucky you're having a girl to take to estate sales and flea markets!
I love flameglo too! I just have one little bowl that my Mom gave me. It's a favorite though!
Hugs- Erica :)
Erica, you're too sweet :) I definitely hide the bump well, but it's there for sure! I can't wait to share Miss Norah with all of you!
DeleteLooks like you had a fun getaway weekend. If you are due in 8 weeks, where is that baby hiding? I'm sure we're all looking every which way at your photos trying to see, lol. I think an adorable baby with you at the estate sales will get you a better deal. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your flameglo set!
Aren't you just the cutest pregnant gal! I hope you'll share a picture of your daughter's nursery in a future post! I can just picture it filled with darling estate sale vintage baby items!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could share a nursery picture, but she doesn't have one. We don't really have the space in our little house, so she is with us in our room until she gets bigger and we move into a bigger house. It's been driving me crazy too, there are so many cute things I would love to be buying for that nursery!
DeleteOf course Miss Norah will want to be out thrifting as soon as possible. It's in her blood after all. Can't wait to see the little cutie!
ReplyDeleteMiss Norah will definitely have the thrifting gene. Wrap her up tight and teach her to point out the treasures. Happy nesting!
