Happy Pre-Alameda Madness!! Erica and I are headed off in the morning to explore our heaven, also known as the Alameda Point Antiques Faire. I have had a few new finds sitting here the last few weeks, so I figured I would share them now, before you get an overload of our awesome road trip adventure.
I've been to quite a few sales as of recently, but haven't found very much vintage. I've been bringing a lot of things home that we need, but not as many "want" items as I would like.
I'm really not sure what I'm going to do with these wooden boxes, but I figured they would be good for organizing, and I really like the vein like pattern of the one in the middle.
I was so jealous of all Erica's vintage Vegas swizzle sticks the other day I could barely stand it. I was super excited to find just a few at a random garage sale. The brass owl will join my rookery, and I couldn't pass up the tiny Bambi card game. And, who would leave behind a reasonably priced Swanky Swig?
This was the one and only piece of reasonably priced Pyrex I've found in the last 3 weeks, but I'm always excited to find a new pattern.
I spent about an hour pondering over a tooled leather purse the day before I found this one but I just could not bring myself to pay the price this vintage shop had it at. I'm so happy I waited, because this beauty is in much better shape and was so much cheaper!
I grabbed these 3 glasses at GW the other day. I had some previously, but the glass was really foggy. These are really clear and you can see the sweet seahorses so well.
The cracker tin is the only thing besides a barbecue that I bought at the lone estate sale here last Friday. I also picked up the biscuit tin for Erica to add to her ever growing collection.
I know I didn't need this window, but it was just the right price and all the panes were intact, so I couldn't pass it up. I have a few projects in mind, but I'm going to let a friend use it for their daughter's wedding decor before I re-purpose it.
But, my sweetest find of all is the mama and fawn that have joined my other deer friends in our yard. I waited a long time to get into this estate sale two weeks ago and this was all I purchased. They were totally worth the wait.
Well, wish Erica and I luck as we adventure through Alameda tomorrow. I'm sure we will have lots of tales to tell when we return!
Always a Pleasure,
Hanna
I just got one of those seahorse glasses the other day and am on the hunt for more. Did you know they once held shrimp cocktails? Have a great time tomorrow at Alameda. Wish I was there too!
ReplyDeleteI love that they were for shrimp cocktail! Such a fun little find :)
DeleteNot familiar with that pattern either, great find!
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet deer!! And love the window! Enjoying seeing pictures on IG of your trip so far!! :) Happy sweet week! xo Holly
ReplyDeleteLove that purse and I definitely want that momma and fawns for our a frame cottage.
ReplyDeleteYour deer are so dear!!! I was actually stopping by to see if you ever got out of the parking lot at Alameda :) And to see what you bought, of course. Guess I have to be patient.
ReplyDeleteWe were still boxed in when we went to leave, but managed to squeeze out through an open space diagonal from us, it was touch and go for sure! Stay tuned, I'm finally headed home today. I'm sitting here looking at Erica's giant pile of goodies, so there are definitely gonna be some fun posts to come :)
DeleteI love swizzles! That's an 024, right? Not a fan of that size, but I sold someone a piece of Pyrex & they told me 024 Horizon Blue sells well & I made my sister pick one up off Kijiji! When I go there next we're gonna put it on eBay & split the profits.
ReplyDeleteGlad you & sister are having fun! Can't wait too see what you've picked up aside from the devil kneehugger!
I thought it was an 024, but Erica broke it to me that its actually an 023! I'm happy she let me know, I would have never noticed. I have heard that the more rare 024's do really well, good luck with your sale!
DeleteCute finds! I love that Pyrex pattern!
ReplyDeleteNeat stuff! I love that your heard of deer is growing!
