Don't be alarmed, it's just Sister Hanna here. You would think that with the summer off I would have all the time in the world to thrift and blog. I thought wrong. I've been playing major catch up on all the things I neglect during the school year, but decided to do a little Goodwill run today before my actual run. Well, I'm happy I did because I came across a set of 6 of these glasses:
It is hard to tell in the picture, but they have a gold rim and they are unmarked. I swear I've seen them on a blog before; does anyone know the maker of these guys? I love them, especially sitting on my hanging crate in the kitchen.
I've been working on a few furniture and painting projects, so I hope to share those soon. Until then, happy thrifting!

I'm 99% sure they are are some frosted pattern of "Libbey" glass, but i have no idea what they are called.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mick! I haven't been able to find very much information on them, so this really helps!
ReplyDeleteActually, we just spent some time in Virginia and saw a ton of these glasses there. One set still had the gold and black sticker on them that said they were made by the West Virginia Glass company, while another had the sticker still saying that they were made by Federal Glass. Maybe that can help in your search. The set I lusted after was the purple color and the gold trim was still intact. They came with a pretty funky pitcher too, but I passed on them because I had already spent so much ...
