Since Hanna surprised me (and probably lots of you too) by posting a blog on Friday, I am a little bit behind on sharing my recent estate sale finds with you. There isn't too much to share so I think I can get it all into one post.
Things are definitely picking up around here. I'm at the point where I am really having to be strategic in planning my route so that I don't miss out on what I think may be a good sale. A lot of times, I will bypass the ones given by the big companies to hit ones that are given by homeowners and families. I know that most of the time, 95% of the resellers and collectors in my area will be at the company sales. It's the best way for me to get the good stuff! There is some serious competition out there.
I paid 10 cents apiece for these Gurley Candles. That's also the original price on the tags!
Cute and kitchy kneehugger with his Made in Japan tag still attached.
10 cents for this too! I love the graphics.
This is the cutest little jar ever! Can you believe they gave sample sizes in packaging like this? Plus the bottom is marked HA for Hazel Atlas so I had to have it for sure!
More glassware for my stash.
I have two of these Japan marked bowls in aqua and this lime green one looks really cute in the stack. Although I'm not normally drawn to the green pottery, the 50 cent price tag sucked me in.
I seriously never thought I would find one of these clotheslines in person. I actually had to have one of the workers at the sale detach it from the utility room wall. After finding out that it was in fact for sale and not part of the house, they sold it to me for a dollar!
I stopped at another sale on the way home and picked up this laundry hanger thingie. Not sure how old it is but its pink!
I also found another mug rack to paint.
And this set of tin coasters. I think I'm gonna hang them on my wall along with my metal trays.
I only made it to one garage sale this last Friday but I found a couple good things
These are older Fiesta dishes (I think). They are pretty shallow so I am going to use them as cute cat dishes!
This cake carrier is the only other thing I found at the garage sale but it made me super happy! I have quite the collection of them going. Luckily, I can display them on top of my kitchen cabinets.
Hope you all have a great week!

I have that cake carrier and it's one of my very favorite things...so cheerful! That little Jif jar is so cute! Something else to keep an eye out for. Stacey
ReplyDeleteGreat vintage items you found this week. At my neighbors estate/rummage sale, they were selling that same clothesline for 50¢. I looked at it but didn't purchase it thinking it was a newer item. I could just kick myself for passing it up.
ReplyDeleteLove it all! The Gurleys look so cute grouped together like that! And I love those coasters too. Someday you need to show us how you have things displayed around your house. I bet it looks so cute! It would be great to see!
ReplyDeleteErica :)
Love, love, love the clothes line thingy that is red. Also loving the coasters. They will look great hanging on the wall.
ReplyDeleteOh how I wish all of the vintage stuff I love could be had for it's original price, like those Gurley candles! Hope you find lots of vintage linens that you can show us by hanging them on your old clothesline!
ReplyDeleteYou found some cute things! Love the tin coasters and of course the pixie. I collect them but rarely find one! Enjoy your week! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI have the canisters to match the cake carrier. My favorite is the Jif jar.
ReplyDeleteLots of cuteness here! Love the coasters and cake carrier. Oh those Gurley candles, everyone seems to find them but me. Love your sweet kneehugger too. Yahoo, the season is on!
ReplyDeleteJust as sweet as can be! Great haul!
ReplyDeleteOoh, love that cake carrier!!
ReplyDeleteLove your 50-cent planter. You got yourself a deal!
ReplyDeleteNice variety of thrift finds. I love the cake carrier.
ReplyDeleteIt is just a wonderful of goodies out there!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy Mom always had a hanger like that, it is actually still in the closet - she used to hang skirts on it - no fancy pink one there though....
Great finds, as always, Erica! I love the Gurley's and those little tin coasters.
ReplyDeleteLove that laundry hanger thingy. I have one in red but have never seen one in pink. Your scores are amazing!
ReplyDeleteThat clothes line is so cool! Glad you found one out in the wild! And the candles are terrific, I love seeing your displays. Huzzah for the start of a good hunting season!
ReplyDeleteI always look for Gurley candles now because of your blog. Haven't found any yet but I bet I will sometime. Those coasters are so sweet and will look fantastic with your trays. Great finds!
ReplyDeleteErica, you found some great stuff. I love Gurley candles but I don't find them very often any more. I need some more for holidays besides Christmas but I would never turn a Gurley away. LOL! I love the peanut butter jar. I love all the stuff. Hugs, Dianne
ReplyDeleteAwesome finds! The clothesline sure is cool and the price even better though. I have two of those lotus bowls in white - for the exact same price point reason you do LOL
