A Thrifting We Will Go...

So I've fallen off the wagon.  My self enforced thrifting hiatus has taken a hiatus of its own.  Ever since Spring Break, I've been having some pretty good luck so it's really hard for me to stay out of the thrifts.  But I'm still pretty disciplined in the fact that I am only hitting them a couple of times a week.  I'm pretty sure that there are some people out there who go every single day!  I'm not that bad.  Yet.

Some recent finds...

 
 
No visit to the thrift is complete without finding some pretty pillow cases.


How wild are the ears on this donkey?  Hanna and her rule of "no donkey left behind" would never have tolerated me not buying him.  The Made in Japan Mom mug is so cute and cheerful!  I have never seen anything like it before.


I can count on one hand how many times I have seen Jadeite at the thrift store.  I have coveted this egg cup for so long.  My patience paid off!


I've been seeing more and more Pyrex on the shelves lately, but not what I would classify as good Pyrex.  Now this Friendship 475 and Rainbow Stripe 401 are what I call good Pyrex!  I have been on a Rainbow Stripe roll lately! 

 

More plastic ware.  I've been on a serious hunt for this stuff lately because Alex's graduation party is next month and hopefully we can have it outside.  And it's not like I'm gonna take my breakable vintage dishes out there!

I have lots more to share but I'll save that for another day.

    I love that plasticware stuff too! I only find the big bowls around here though.

    Hope you have a good thrifting weekend. My son's sick today so I can't go out to the 8 estate sales that I had planned on. EIGHT!!! So I am just going to go virtual thrifting through my bloggy friends :)

    That donkey is just the cutest thing - I never see anything donkey related, well, except that book! Hah!!!

    Great finds Erica! You're so lucky that your thrifts actually put Pyrex out. Indianapolis Goodwills don't allow Pyrex, Fire King, etc etc (basically any cool vintage stuff) to go out to shelves any more. They sell it all on shopgoodwill.com. And the auction prices there are INSANE.

    Perfrct mug for Mothers Day, and love the vintage pillowcases. I haven't bought anything this week, but then again, the week is not over yet.
