My New Ride

Happy Labor Day!  I'm so excited to have a day home with my husband and pup with nothing planned.  We had a big weekend of salmon fishing and college football, so I could definitely use a day of rest before my virtual students return to school tomorrow.  It is so strange that I wont be walking into my classroom, but I've loved my job so far and have enjoyed meeting families over the phone.  It will be great to challenge myself in finding creative ways to connect with my students virtually all year long.

Last weekend we had a wedding to attend and the bride arrived in this beautiful ride.  Its a 1959 Ford Fairlane and in my Sisterita's favorite color of course.  I had fun sending these pictures to friends and joking that this was my b-day gift from my husband.

They are lucky the keys weren't left in it or I'm pretty sure I would have had to drive it away!

Hope you guys enjoy the car as much as I did!

In the thrifting world, I have only found a few things so I'm gonna save those for when I have a bigger haul to share.  I hope everyone enjoys this lovely Monday and has a great week!

  4. Shut up! Hahaha I was going to say... A 1959 or 58 (special) Ford Fairlane convertible is my DREAM car! And you found one in TURQUOISE!!!! Oh my gosh! We happned across one the other day (parked down town) that was a two tone combo of "Tiger blue" and cream, with gold accents! Oh it was SLICK! You look terrific in the drivers seat!

Someone asked me the other day why I'm not into vintage cars. I said that I love them, but they cost a bit more than Pyrex... : ) Not really a stay at home mom hobby I think.
