In the last week, I have been doing a little more thrifting than usual. It is that time of year for vintage Christmas so I've been checking for it pretty often. Plus, since I head up to visit Alex once a week, I can hit those out of town thrifts too! My hunting has been paying off pretty well...
A while back, I thrifted the red Hazel Atlas bowl. Last week I found the white one at Goodwill. I heard that there is also a blue to the set?
I love the shabby look of these Lu Ray teacups.
My first thrifted vintage Christmas item of the season!
I bought these clear refrigerator dishes for the lids and the two Flame Glo 402 bowls out of Pyrex desperation :-)
I hit the vintage sheet jackpot at St. Vinney's!
I can count on one hand the number of times I have found a vintage tablecloth at the thrift. The funny thing is that I have found them all at the same one!
I found these Fire King mugs at the same thrift as the tablecloth. My aunt gave me two a few years ago so now I have a set of four to go with my Thanksgiving decorations.
In all the madness surrounding my Christmas decorating, I completely forgot that Thanksgiving is next week! Off to make my list....
Linking up with Sir Thrift-A-Lot for Thriftasaurus
Have a great week!

Awesome finds! Love the vintage linen stash you scored. Good luck with your list ;)
ReplyDeleteDo you use the vintage sheets or sell them? Just curious.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm glad I'm not the only one who forgot how close Thanksgiving was. I woke up in the middle of the night with visions of having to serve a frozen bird because I'd forgotten to buy it soon enough. MUST MAKE LIST!!! Around here I NEVER find linens in good condition at the thrifts. And I think I'd feint if I actually found a tablecloth! Great finds. Keep on thriftin' (like keep on truckin' :)
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a Flameglow in real life, but not something I'd probably keep in my collection now that my house is becoming overwhelmed! I found a vintage tablecloth last week, looks never used at the thrift. Lady who came 30 seconds later looked pretty pissed! LOL! Its goldish with pink flowers. I thought you said you weren't hunting vintage Christmas this season?
ReplyDeleteSweet stuff Erica! Oh those HA bowls, and love your Christmas girl. Nothing better than hitting some different thrift shops, especially when you leave with a gorgeous dogwood tablecloth! :)
ReplyDeleteHope I find something next time I get to the thrifts! So far, I've seen nothing but junk!
ReplyDeleteLovely finds, especially the tablecloth!! I haven't found any vintage tablecloths at the thrifts around here in months!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds! I think the holiday season seems to speed up after we pass Halloween. Wasn't Halloween just the other day?
ReplyDeleteThe Lu Ray is so sweet. I've always loved the soft colors. Great old sheets and good score on the table cloth. Wish I knew more about Pyrex...say an unusual bowl at a thrift this week.
ReplyDeleteI love Flame Glo. Super cute for fall.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been thrifting for x-mas very much yet. Just a few times, and the scene is VERY different than it was last year, and the year before. Nothing vintage yet. Either everyone is jumping on that bandwagon, or vintage stuff isn't even making it into the thrifts. Not sure. Meanwhile I'm drowning in x-mas stuff over here, so I think I'll be ok! ;P
Thankswhat? St Vinny's is a longtime favorite of mine. Wish there were more of them.
ReplyDeleteI love the LuRay cups - I use them for tiny gift containers. I love to find round tablecloths. Here lately I have found a ton of square bridge cloths - the ones for folding bridge tables. I guess people do not play bridge much any more or they don't use tablecloths!
ReplyDeleteI love your mugs and Hazel Atlas bowls!
