A Valley Visit

Good Morning, Hanna here!  I am still recovering from a very fun week with Erica.  First she came to visit me in Astoria, which included phenomenal weather and a few bottles of wine.  I then hitched a ride with her and Maddie back to the valley and we made a few stops along the way.  We really had terrible luck at the antique stores.  Every place we went was either closed or a waste of time.  I managed to find just a few treasures which is all I have to share today, since I haven't been to any good sales these last few weeks.
We stopped in Kalama, Washington on our way home and checked out a few shops I'd never visited before. I just couldn't resist this sweet deer planter.
I also managed to find myself a squirrel family!  Mama has been busy for sure!

I also found a tiny copy of Treasure Island to add to my many stacks of vintage books.
While in Springfield, I snagged all 3 of these martini shakers from the same booth for a killer price.  I bought them to resell, but I'm already growing attached.  I mean, who doesn't need 3 martini shakers?
I also picked up this Pyrex 442 yellow Butterprint for reselling.  This is my color and one of my favorite patterns, but I'm really trying to save up for our road trip to Alameda in August!
I've had the a set of 3 purple Blendo glasses for quite some time, but am constantly watching the orange set with a martini shaker on Ebay.  I purchased this from a sweet little shop on Instagram.  Now I just need 2 more and I can have a purple and orange set!

I'm going a little stir crazy around here and have decided to totally re-arrange my house.  I'm talking, move my bedroom downstairs, my office upstairs, my closet from the 2nd floor to the basement, the list goes on.  It wouldn't be so bad, but this means moving all of my vintage treasures around and finding them new homes without Matt noticing how much awesome stuff I have!  I'm trying to do as much as I can while he is at work, but the heavy moving is impossible on its own.  I can't wait for this change, it makes me feel like I'm moving!

I hope I have more to share next time.  I have my fingers and toes crossed that there is a good sale on Friday!

Always a Pleasure!

  1. That planter is great! And I like the trio of shakers! I just recently decided to change all the bare are out of the lounge from our "Mad Men" Libbey Gold leaf (moved them into the kitchen) and now we're going to have a "carousel" themed bar with my Libbey Carousel glasses!
Good luck on all the rearranging!

  5. Your squirrel family is so quirky! I love the Blendo cups; I found a chip and dip in the orange to resell but love it too much.

  9. Hi Hanna, nice to hear from you! Love the little squirrel family. I have the butterpring in aqua, but it's cute in yellow too. I have a couple of yellow and black Pyrex out on display in my kitchen right now. Kind of have a 'bee' theme going on. After all UT is the 'Beehive State".
    hugs,
    Jann
