I can't believe that it has been almost a week since I last posted. I have nothing to blame but life itself. Do you ever feel like you can just be so dang busy doing nothing? Well, welcome to my world.
Last time I blogged, I told you all about my upcoming treasure hunting weekend. Yesterday, I finally got almost everything photographed and put away. Not everything is dealt with but there is just enough to share.
I got these goodies from the Glory Days Spring Soiree. Maddie found another book with fuzzy pictures. I feel a new collection may be brewing for my little thrifter. She also found another Bambi figurine. She really loves to find these and says she is going to hide them the next time Sister comes to visit. The tin is not something that I needed (is anything?) but too cute and cheap to pass up.
This vintage tablecloth was super cheap and marked "As Is". All I could find wrong were two pea size faded marks that I am almost positive that a good soaking and some time in the sun will get rid of.
I love the way that whoever made this tray put it together. All they did was take an old picture frame, add two handles and a piece of old bark cloth! Hey, I think I can do this!
So there is this booth at the antique mall and one of two things is going on: 1) The seller has no idea how valuable certain pieces of Pyrex can be or 2) She knows but isn't looking to make a fortune and wants to make pieces accessible by pricing them low.
Whatever the case may be, I LOVE THIS LADY!! I got the 401 Rainbow Stripes in blue for $3.00 and the 404 New Dots in green for $13.00. This is the same booth that I found my turquoise 503 refrigerator dish for $4.99! You can read about that score here. Keep 'em coming I say!
This isn't all, friends. I figure I can break up the rest of my finds into a couple of more posts. This ought to be enough to hold you all over until then!

There you are. Was wondering what was up. I wish I lived closer to Glory Days..I love that shop. (I may have had to battle Maddie for the deer, although I would have been a mature adult and let her have it.)

ReplyDeleteUgh. I hate you. Here I am busting by behind in the aisles with piles of Glasbake & Pyrex as raggedy & washed up as Lil' Kim and as usual, you've got treasures.
ReplyDeleteLove the stripes & the deer!
It's possible the universe wants me to clean my house up before I bring anything back in tho. I'll try it out. Going to clean. Thrift tomorrow!
