Flea Market Season & Some Thrifty Finds...

I know I've mentioned it before, but strangely enough, our flea market closes down for the Summer.  It runs Fall through Spring which I guess gives us Oregonians something to do during the cold and rainy months.  Yesterday morning was the first market of the season and although I didn't find a whole lot, I am in love with what I did find.

Pyrex, and good Pyrex at that!  And the prices were super reasonable too.  Yay!

Super cheap Fire King mugs.  Even a Jadeite one!

This is the third Lazy Farms barn I have found from the flea market and the second from the same seller.  The Edward Mobley squeak is different from the one I already have.  I didn't know they came in different colors.

Lastly, I bought this HUGE bag of old valentine and birthday cards.  There are even some donkey and cowboy ones in there.  My favorite!

I haven't been going in to the thrifts very often lately but over the past couple of weeks, I have found myself with some time to kill before picking up Maddie from school.

This giant duck has lost his squeak but he still really wanted to come home with me.

A pair of vintage pillowcases.

And from a thrift I never find anything at and haven't been to in months, a Miss Cutie Pie creamer & single shaker!  Definitely one of my favorite finds this year!

Hope you all have a great week!

  2. I am not a Pyrex person, but when I see your sweet pastel finds, I start to rethink it. I would buy a set of PINK bowls if I ever saw them. I love it that you collect donkeys. Quirky and fun!

  5. I wish we had more flea market options in West MI. I guess our LONG winter weather doesn't help. You really do have the best luck with finding squeaks and metal barns.

  10. I've never seen Miss Cutie Pie! She sure is!!

That's funny about the Lazy Days farm. I've found two myself! I wish they still made toys like that. Now everything is plastic and overly cartoony. I want to find more Edward Mobley, I LOVE that cat. Also, how many of those Fire King mugs do you have now? I have two pink and two turquoise. Would LOVE to find some yellow. Something about pink, yellow, and aqua makes vintage lovers twitterpated, don't you agree?

    Cheers,
    Heather

  11. Oh yay! You got them. I couldn't even get myself buy them at the half off price. I was shocked what they were asking for them. I lucked out and got the salt and pepper for a couple bucks not too long ago. That creamer sure is cute!!!!!!!
