Busy Busy

Good Morning Blog Friends!

Despite being super busy lately getting things ready for Miss Norah's baby shower, I've been on a really good run on finding good junk!  I've been spending a little bit more time at the thrifts finding things for the baby shower and I've also been finding a few things here and there for myself.  Plus, this weather has been crazy!  Not 7 feet of snow and below zero temps crazy.  But 60+ degree and having to mow the lawn in February crazy.  Around here, that means more sales and more spring cleaning so the thrifts are a little fuller than usual with good stuff.

I'm so proud of myself.  These two Hazel Atlas bowls went promptly on IG and sold to a very happy customer.  The hoarder in me really wanted to keep them though!

I love the graphics on these old games.  I wish I had a better way to show them off rather than just stacking them.

Obviously not a vintage find.  I picked this book up from World Market a while back for the cover.  Lucky for me there are some awesome recipes in it too!

I've been on a 21 day cleanse that requires drinking 8 ounces of warm water with half of a lemon every morning.  It's supposed to be good for your skin.  So this old juicer is coming in handy!  Obviously the cleanse isn't working.  I got asked if I was eligible for the senior discount at Goodwill the other day! I'm 38!!!

I thrifted this mug tree the other day.  Although it's been really nice here, it's also been pretty windy.  So this is currently sitting in my To Paint pile in the garage.

I don't think I've shared this picture here.  A few weeks ago, I was searching online for an old medicine cabinet to put in the kids' bathroom.  I didn't find one.  But low & behold, I came across one for a song at an antique mall later in the day!  Love it when that happens.

I thrifted the Pineapple Party 404 last week.  I am thinking the 401 is going to be about as elusive as the 441 Balloons bowl.

When Alex moved up to Corvallis for school, Maddie took over his room and we turned her room into a guest room.  It's coming together really nicely.  It has more of a farmhouse theme going on so I needed to find a quilt for the end of the bed that wasn't pastel.

Plus this one had little chicks on it so I think it's perfect for a farmhouse bedroom, don't you?

I found another Minnow Bucket that I worked into the bedroom too.  As soon as the sun comes back  out, I will do a post to show you guys what has been going on around here in regards to the remodel.  The chaos that surrounds it is killing me but the end results are so worth it!

Busy day today.  Maddie and I have some projects in the work for the baby shower next weekend.  I can't wait to share it with you guys!  The theme is a surprise so I can't tell you too much right now.  I hope I remember to bring my camera!

Have a wonderful weekend~

  1. Curios to see all your projects done and the end result. Fun snippets you are sharing. Laughing over your lemon/water cleanse and the Goodwill discount. I got asked if I wanted a senior discount ON MY BIRTHDAY when I turned 40. I gave the cashier a dagger look with my eyes....

  2. Put a note in with your party supplies, that says "camera"! It sounds like I am being nice and helpful, but I am really being self serving. I want to see your photos!

Sell, keep, sell, keep...it's an ongoing dilemma.

  3. Sweet finds. Love the quilt. We've remodeled in 2 different homes. After the first time I swore never again, ha, never say never. Yes, worth it though. Please don't forget your camera, but there is always your phone if you do. :)

  5. That quilt is soooo cute! I love when they have that texture, like yours does. Only the good old fabric puckers up like that.
I would have been so ticked if someone asked me about the senior discount!
She should have given you the discount though...just as an apology! Ha!
